Midnight Movies: Skidoo

Skidoo

For the past few months the Curzon Soho and ‘Under the Influence’ have been reviving the lost art of the midnight movie. Since its launch back in February the regular monthly night has screened at the witching hour such gems as VHS cult classic Society and Tarantino/ Rodriguez’s Grindhouse (in its full double bill glory) .

This month they aim to please yet again with a rare screening of Otto Preminger’s 60s drug-fueled psychedelic mobster ride ‘Skidoo’ that Electric Sheep have dubbed “Sopranos-meets-Prison Break-meets-Hair”. Sounds like it could be either extreme brilliance or an extreme mess- but either way a lotta fun.

They are kicking off the night with a 60s themed party from 9:30 in the bar, and will be handing our prizes for the best dressed ‘hipsters and daddios’. Anyhew, details…

Midnight Movies | Skidoo | Dir. Otto Preminger | 1968 | USA
