I’ve got a badge to prove it and everything as W.O.F’s accreditation at the London Film Festival came through this fine morn.
Its going to be a funny festival this year for myself as I will be attempting to straddle both sides of the fence with my distributor hat on for my day job at Soda Pictures (who have 5 fabulous films in the festival… see here for more info). Then I’ll have my press hat on for when I’ll be covering other peoples films. Continue reading ‘We’re Now Officially a Blog’

So today was the press launch of the London Film Festival and lots of press, PR and various film people gathered in the Odeon West End to coo over free pastries, tea and goodie bags- (oh and also the announcement of the full festival line up). Continue reading ‘London Film Festival Press Launch’

Wed 21st May 6:20pm & Sat 31st May 8:30pm |BFI Southbank| £tbc
In this atmospheric noir from Richard Fleischer, the faceless dummy is created to represent an elusive strangler who calls himself ‘The Judge’ and whom detective Harry Grant attempts to reconstruct from clues.
n.b. The screening on Wed 21 May will be introduced by cultural historian Roger Sabin
It was the title that intrigued me and made me take a chance on a ticket when it was screened at the NFT (before it became BFI Southbank) as part of the huge John Berger season a few years ago. I knew nothing of the film and had I known it was about May ‘68 I would never have gone, it’s a topic that personally leaves me cold.

Oops, so I guess I’m a little late to be posting about this years festival at the BFI Southbank and the Odeon West End. But better late than never and thankfully there’s still time left to pass on info for this years closing night gala, Vivere … Continue reading ‘Lesbian & Gay Film Festival -Closing Gala’
