Its my blog and I’ll self promote if I want to! Well this is relevant to W.O.F. readers, and all work connections aside My Winnipeg is one of my favourite films I’ve caught so far this year- so I’ll allow it this time.
Over the past few months I’ve been co-ordinating a filmmaking promotion through my work at Soda Pictures, in conjunction with FourDocs, 3 Minute Wonder, Destination Winnipeg and The Branchage Jersey Film Festival to celebrate the UK release of My Winnipeg on July 4th.
I want all you budding creatives and film makers to make a 3 minute docu-fantasia about your home town. The winning film will screen on Channel 4, feature on the UK DVD release of My Winnipeg, the winner will also recieve a holiday to Winnipeg & £1500. And yes there is more as not just one but three further ‘runners up’ films will be screening on channel 4 and will be awarded with £1500. Also a selection of the best of the rest will join the winning films and screen at The Branchage Film Festival in September.
